I'm looking for a room in Seward, preferably in a house with some sense of community. I?m 22 and about to graduate college with a double major in philosophy and studio art. My plan for the next 2 or 3 years is to work part time at something I don?t have to take home with me, so that I can dedicate my energy more fully to making art for a while, before probably going to graduate school for art and/or art theory. I see art and philosophy both as capable of subverting power systems, and I?m interested in their intersections with feminism and anti-racist/anti-colonial work. I?m vegetarian, but respectful of everyone?s own food choices/needs. I really just love animals, and have a cat as well. She?s 8, playful and incredibly sweet, and she loves to cuddle with her human friends, once she gets to know them. I am pretty laid back and prefer open communication, so I live well with anyone who is open about their needs and concerns. I have a decently sized CD collection that I?m always happy to share and talk about. I like to make things, especially for my living space or for the people in my life, and I?m pretty handy (much of my art is sculpture/wood-based, and I also sew), so if you or the house needs something, I can probably help! I spend a lot of time exploring, mostly in the cities, although I also love to travel and go camping. I?m always up to try something new.
